Deadlift Max:  205

Occupation:  Budget Analyst for NASA Johnson Space Center

Got Muscle-ups? That's a negative Ghost Rider.

1 mile run:  I haven't timed myself on this in awhile but know I am now under 8 minutes.

Favorite WOD: Anthing with running and fast movements

Favorite Lift: Any snatch movement- hang, power, squat.

How long have you been CrossFitting?  I tried out a few gyms when I moved to Houston for an internship in 2013. I started consistenlty going since November 2014 when I started at Clear Lake Crossfit.

Which class time do you usually attend?  8 a.m class!! #RideOrDie

How did you find CrossFit?  I saw the games on tv in 2013 and fell in love. I remember telling my parents as we were watching it at the restaurant I was going to do that.

What is your athletic background?  I played competitive softball since I was 6 years old, competitive basketball since 5th grade, started golf in middle school, and picked up tennis in high school.

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, level of fitness?  I have always been active playing sports growing up. Getting to eat whatever I want and being able to burn it off on the field. I was always at practice or a game or a weekend tournament that I never really worked out in an actual gym. When I hit college and no longer playing I found out I hated going to a regular gym haha.   But then I found Crossfit and fell in love. It gave me the competitive environment I loved and missed from the sports world. It wasn't going to the gym to run on a treadmill and then do the same weights every day.  I go to the gym everyday knowing it's going to be something different then the day before. And it's going to kick my ass. (Sorry if I'm not suppose to cuss Holly.) And food. Changing my lifestyle here clicked everything else into place.

What motivates/inspires you?  The other athletes at the gym without a doubt. Not trying to leave out the guys cause they are awesome too, but the women at the gym keep me on track. To keeping up with the badass (Sorry again Holly) chicks around my level or always chasing the hella strong RX ladies.

What is your proudest (CF) achievement?  I would definitely have to say hitting a PR on my squat snatch during the 2017 open. I didn't think I would get 1 at that weight but ended up getting 3.

Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit.   My gym goal is to conquer pull ups. After that it will be handstand pushups. It drives me crazy I can lift my weight over head on a bar, but struggle doing body weight gymnastic moves.  Body goal is to get to 20% body fat.

Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit?  Outside of work and Crossfit, I spend all my time with people that I love and traveling.

What is your favorite cheat meal?  Just one...? No? Okay where to start...

A margarita, queso, and tortillas or

A YoYo hot dog or

Thin crust Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza or

Tacos or

Ice cream or

Chocolate Chip cookies or

So I think you get the point. I really look forward to Saturday night cheat meal.

Any advice for new members?

1.) Show up to each workout with an open mind.

2.) Don't compare yourself to others. Some people have been there for 5+ years, others maybe just started the week before you. Focus on you and don't be intimidated.

3.) Find a gym that feels like home to you. I tried 3 different places before I found my forever home at Clear Lake Crossfit.

4.) Scale appropriately!!!

5.) And most importantly- Listen to Holly.

Have you met Pukie?  No I sure haven't. But don't take that as a challenge Holly!
